Swimming is a low-cost, healthy and fun activity to partake in. It is a low-impact activity that benefits your mental and physical health in many ways. It's a great work out because you need to move your whole body against the water. It keeps your heart rate up but gets rid of stress as well as building up endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. Swimming helps keep a healthy weight, heart and lungs and tones and builds muscles and strength. All of your muscles are used in swimming so it provides an all-over body workout. It is a relaxing and peaceful form of exercise, releasing stress and improving coordination, balance and posture. It improves flexibility and is a good therapy for some injuries and conditions. It is a nice way to cool down on a hot day and you can take part in it in loads of different places. All of these reasons are just a few of why we love to swim! |
